B.Voc is the brain child of Glocal University as an answer to the exhortation of UGC in 2016 to spread the concept of learning while working as against the traditional way of learn and try for job. It supports the goal of the central government to scale up the quality of human resources as the integral part of the new education policy. B. Voc courses are not childs play which rolls out inept graduates from education factories. Here the students are not left at the mercy of fate to run after professional experience and work knowledge. On the very induction the students start to receive job training in the industry vertical in which they choose to graduate.
The course is programmed to contain 60% work experience input and 40% theoretical knowledge put in the discipline, the latter which they receive either at the work place or from the institutions arranged by the university. B.Voc courses focus on professional experience with theoretical knowledge added to it. These courses are beneficial to students in two ways. The persons who already working can acquire more theoretical knowledge in their field of working and improve their career with a graduate degree and those pursuing education are trained and educated as professional to find better opportunities as graduates experienced in the profession.
I am delighted to have completed my B.Voc course at Glocal University. The best thing about these courses is its flexibility and affordability. I could only pursue the course for 2 years and upon completing it, I obtained an advanced diploma through which I was able to get a job immediately after completing the course.
My experience with Glocal University has been a fulfilling one. I am not financially strong so I opted for a vocational course. I was given the flexibility to pay the fees in installments. In my third year, they even helped me get a paid internship through which I was able to manage my own expenses.
The faculty at Glocal University are highly qualified and supportive. I come from a hindi education background so it was a little tough for me to understand the topics in english at initial phases but the teachers made sure I faced no obstacles in my educational journey and supported me at every stage.
I liked the infrastructure of the Glocal University. The students have the accessibility of modern laboratories and latest equipments which makes the learning process exciting. The classroom environment is also friendly, and the teachers are incredibly helpful.
I highly recommend Glocal University courses to everyone. The teachers are very supportive, college infrastructure is good, students are very friendly and placements are also very high. Students will get various job and internship opportunities after completing their courses.

The main objectives of this scheme are given below:
To provide judicious mix of skills relating to a profession with appropriate content of general education.
To ensure that the students have adequate knowledge and skills, so that they are job ready at each exit point of the programme.
To provide flexibility to students by means of pre-defined entry and multiple exit points.
To integrate NSQF within the undergraduate level of higher education in order to enhance employability of the graduates and meet industry requirements. Such graduates apart from meeting the needs of local and national industry are also expected to be equipped to become part of the global workforce.
To provide vertical mobility to students coming out of (a) 10+2 with vocational subjects; and (b) Community Colleges.
The certification levels will lead to Diploma /Advanced Diploma/B. Voc./M.Voc. Degree in one or more vocational areas and will be offered under the aegis of the University. This is out-lined in Table 1.
